Community Service Tree Plantation Riviera's Traditional Tree Plantation Date: 1 July 2026 | Venue: Goa College of Home Science Ushering in the new Rotary year, the Rotary Club of Panaji Riviera continued its 13-year tradition of planting fruit-bearing trees at the Goa College of Home Science. Rotarians, Anns, Rotaractors and faculty members planted seven fruit-bearing saplings, reaffirming the Club's commitment to environmental stewardship. President Rtn. Colleen Sequeira thanked the Institute for its enduring partnership and said the project symbolises members "rolling up their sleeves, dirtying their hands, and nurturing something that will support and comfort others for years to come." The Club thanked Environment Chair Rtn. Devki Talekar for coordinating the project and arranging the saplings, and Principal Dr. Mahesh Pai and the faculty for their hospitality and support. The project cost ₹1,000 and was attended by 11 Rotarians, 2 Anns, 10 Rotaractors and 5 faculty members. Impact: Seven fruit-bearing trees added to the campus, enhancing green cover, biodiversity and future nutritional value for students. Lives Touched: Immediate: 328 (300 students, 28 faculty & staff).
